Media Assistant

Learn what a media agency is all about: from researching the target audience and applying it to the planning process; from execution of traditional and digital media, along with best practices for campaign optimizations; complete the learning cycle with media reconciliations and placement auditing.  Wide array of industries to learn from: local, national, non-profit, consumer product goods, and business-to-business. As a Media Assistant, you will be assigned different roles and trained on a variety of entry level tasks.  No two weeks will be exactly the same. 

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

  • Become well versed in all types of media and must stay current with a rapidly changing media landscape
  • Help with administrative functions required to execute media buys, work with buying software, negotiate with sales reps, and gather data for the execution of media plans
  • Help with digital trafficking and reporting
  • Participate in media strategy sessions, contribute with information garnered from research sources
  • Utilize software to assist in the planning and buying process
  • Be able to multi-task, be detail oriented, organized and analytical
  • Strong verbal, math, and written communication skills are essential
  • Able to problem solve and think creatively to overcome obstacles; self-starter
  • Work within a team environment while handling multiple projects with deadlines
  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in advertising, marketing or communications is preferred

Expectations of position:

  • Learn required tasks of media planning and buying, and digital campaign management
  • Assist with campaign set-ups, trafficking of ad material, and optimization of media buys
  • Become proficient with digital and traditional media platforms such as DoubleClick Manager, ComScore, Telmar, and NLogic
  • Compile data for monthly reports outlining campaign effectiveness
  • Responsible for accuracy and timeliness of all work output
