Digital Project Manager

Digital Project Manager acts as the coordinating strategist and digital account lead for digital campaigns on an assigned client portfolio.  They are ultimately responsible for all digital successful execution, optimization, reporting, and campaigns. In this role, they serve as a partner to Account Planners in order to provide clients expert guidance in the area of digital media. The Digital Project Manager works with Account Planners to compile research and develop media strategies for assigned clients across all digital channels. The Digital Project Manager is required to develop and maintain a solid understanding of the client’s business and apply their digital knowledge to deliver against the clients’ objectives. This person provides support and follow-up for all client inquiries and prepares research based marketing strategies and assists in preparing presentation materials, media plans and/or grids, and full media proposals that involve digital media.  

Duties:

  • Lead development and execution of digital media strategies across all channels
  • Communicates with Account Planners and clients as necessary to explain digital media campaign performance
  • Study and compile demographic data and consumer profiles to identify desired target audiences for digital media campaigns
  • Develop agency point of views on digital media opportunities for submission to the client
  • Serve as contact for digital media vendors for Account Planner(s)
  • Establish and maintains goodwill and strong working relationships with the media supplier base
  • Communicate media buy specifications and campaign goals to digital team then ensures timely and accurate launch of digital campaigns
  • Establish deadlines for materials needed and reports deadlines to client’s creative team and internal traffic department
  • Provides Account Planners with up-to-date status of digital campaigns on an ongoing basis and as needed
  • Ensure that monthly and/or post campaign reports on effectiveness of media plan are issued to clients
  • Ensure that an updated file for all digital campaigns in assigned portfolio is maintained on the company server

Required Skills, Experience and Education: 

  • Must be able to multi-task, be detail oriented, organized and analytical
  • Proficient with industry tools and platforms for digital media research and planning and measurement
  • Have strong understanding of digital media planning fundamentals including media research, reach/frequency, consumer/market research, plan development, etc.
  • Have a strong understanding of SEO, SEM, online media, mobile, e-mail and social strategies and technologies and be able to convey them to agency team members and clients
  • Must be able to assign tasks within a functional group, facilitate projects toward completion and accept responsibility for campaign deliverable's
  • Must be able to analyze metrics from digital campaigns and provide insightful and constructive observations/recommendations to Account Planner and clients
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with computers, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to think creatively and solve problems
  • Able to work within a team environment while handling multiple projects with deadlines
  • Demonstrate ability to problem solve, think creatively and overcome obstacles
  • Bachelor's degree, concentration in advertising, marketing or communications preferred, or equivalent professional experience
